Reliable services require certified personnel, experience, strict protocols, and meticulous image acquisition. The Thermogram Center is dedicated to providing clients and their health providers with the highest level of quality and service possible.

To achieve this, a high resolution digital infrared camera and dynamic computer thermal imaging is used to provide imaging, thermobiological risk assessment, and monitoring services.

The Thermogram Center equipment and software is FDA approved for breast imaging under FDA 21 CFR 884.2980: K033967 and K032471, respectively. The FLIR camera equipment is some of the latest in the field with sensitivity/resolution capabilities unlike older equipment. This camera maps 76,000+ temperature readings to 0.06°C sensitivity and 1.3mrad spatial resolution, so it is less likely to "miss something" not seen by older technologies, and the software provides you images in B&W and in color.

FLIR cameras were featured on NBC's May 2, 2003 Today Show for their use at international airports in screening arriving passengers for fevers, enabling preliminary screening for SARS. In more recent years, FLIR cameras have used for preliminary screening for H1N1. Our technology and services have also been featured on Fox News for advanced technology and medical application. (FLIR cameras are used around the world in a variety of fields, i.e. military, police, architectural engineering, manufacturing, etc.)

Multiple board certifications are a means of assuring quality control and reliability in thermography. Also, the Colorado-licensed physician overseeing The Thermogram Center and retained legal consul assure compliance with medical standards and laws.

The interpretive doctors and imaging technicians rendering services to The Thermogram Center have been trained and certified by more than one of the following thermographic organizations:

International Academy of Clinical Thermology (IACT)  www.iact-org.org

        International Thermographic Society (ITS)

American Academy of Thermography (AAT)  www.americanthermology.org

American Association of Medical Infrared Imaging (AAMII)

(Check out www.breastthermography.org to learn more.)

(When seeking U.S. thermal imaging services, it is important to determine the provider's certifying entity. Some providers operate without the support of any of these organizations, and some organizations/providers do not support or render "risk assessment" (thermobiological risk ratings and/or hormonal grades.))

Service Providers to The Thermogram Center

The Thermogram Center was conceived by Tirza Derflinger in 2002. She had previously served as Medical Laboratory Technician in the Army, obtained a B.S. in Industrial Engineering, and an M.B.A. in the Management of Technology. After working professionally for over 15 years, she had become dissatisfied... corporate work had become too impersonal and was no longer soulfully gratifying. At age 38, she left a six-figure income to return to her true calling: helping people in a health field. She founded the Thermogram Center as an S-Corp and remains the only officer/individual in this business entity.

In 2005, she responded to the overwhelming question from clients, "what can I do about the potential risk factors observed in my thermal imaging?" by founding the Breast Health Education Group, made up of seven authors of "Better Breast Health - for Life!™". Today, Tirza is transitioning to the role of Breast Health Educator & Facilitator by providing workshops and lectures in the workplace, organizations, and the community. (She is also available to clients for risk factor discussion.)

Multiple individuals and entities are involved in providing thermal imaging that complies with the medical and business standards and laws of Colorado. The credentials for the primary service providers are listed below:

In the state of Colorado, the interpretation of tests is considered an activity within medicine. As such, a Colorado-licensed physician is required by law to monitor the activities of the below service providers within the context of their Thermogram Center work to ensure compliance to applicable medical laws and standards. Our Colorado-licensed Monitoring Physician:

Nita Desai, MD

Thermograms are 100% digital and can be electronically mailed with an individual's health history information for analyses. The Thermogram Center obtains analyses and interpretive reporting through a California-based Certified Clinical Thermologist with over 20 years experience. He is currently interpreting for over 20 thermal imaging providers across the U.S.:
