The following images comprise a full body series, which is made up of the lower body and upper body series, typically 12 views each.
The most significant and/or interesting findings for this client are most easily observed in the below color images. They include:
The temperatures over the ovary fields are higher than that of surrounding tissue and consistent with stress. Further evaluation by pelvic ultrasound identified small cysts; her doctor also determined estrogen dominance.
The left lung field is cooler than the right which in consistent with a collapsed left lung 20 years earlier.
All thermal patterns are normal for the fingers, hands, and endocrine system. Client complaints about cold fingers may be due to counter-convection in the blood vessels of the finger tips due to multiple near frostbite experiences as a child.
Client complaints include right posterolateral thigh pain. The right lumbosacral thermal "hockeystick" sign is consistent with a possible disc bulge at this level. There is correlation with mild cooling seen over the L5/S1 dermatome.
Thermal findings in the upper back suggest trigger points (knots) and increased muscle activity (spasms), particularly in the levator scapulae and trapezious muscles, consistent with where this client reports she holds stress and tension.
